How many ingredients are in a Chick-Fil-A-sandwich?
Take a guess my friends.
Here is my list:
Chicken breast, breading, sauce, bun, lettuce. Okay that is 5 things and maybe a couple of ingredients to make the bread. I will change my guess to 10.
Did you guess 15?
25?
The answer is close to 100! Here is a post by the foodbabe that will freak you out. Here is the link, http://foodbabe.com/2011/07/09/chick-fil-a-or-chemical-fil-a/
So why should you care about this? Well, as Vani mentions in her post, if you have any of the following issues they could be related to the ingestion of these chemicals.
Ever wonder why you have to dose yourself with caffeine after lunch to stay awake?
Or have uncontrollable cravings?
Or why no matter how hard you work in the gym, you still carry around 10 extra pounds?
Or experience depressed moods?
Or have joint pain? Or headaches?
Or can’t clear up your skin?
Or have asthma and/or allergies?
The part that gets me mad is you would never think that they would have to put all this crap in a simple sandwich. Oh, and the fact that you have to research this to find out what is actually in the food you are eating.
So check out her post if you want to. The point is simply this. Eating a Chick-Fil-A sandwich won’t kill you. It won’t make you sick. It is the constant ingestion of chemicals over a long period of time that will do the damage ( in my opinion). Since you don’t know how many chemicals you are taking in at any one meal how can you gauge your exposure? You can’t so be careful.
P.S. if you are the kind of person that would rather listen to me rather than read, then you need to get in on my podcast. The M Factor Fitness Funkcast. 30 minutes of fitness stuff, goofing around and general good times. Get it here on Itunes or here at podbean.com
